Hospitality
We work on a large number of exterior and interior projects within the hospitality industry. From hotels, restaurants and bars through to shops and department stores. Vitreous enamel is a medium that is particularly favoured within these environments due to its durability and longevity and for its versatility in fitting-out cafes, hotels, bars and restaurants. It’s perfect for a wide range of applications including cladding, signage, bathrooms, bar and kitchen splashbacks and worktops, cookware and furniture.
Vitreous enamel’s ability to retain stunning colours and vivid artwork mean that it is the perfect medium for helping your business stand out. It is a superior material that aligns particularly well with businesses focused on delivering a premium product or service.

Vitreous Enamel Hospitality Projects

RA Café
A.J Wells fabricated a range of stunning splatter-effect vitreous enamel tabletops made for Transit Studio UK & Lot Studio London’s beautiful transformation of the Royal Academy of Arts Grand Cafe.
Bombay Sapphire
Heatherwick Studio commissioned a bespoke vitreous enamel bar counter for Bombay Sapphire’s distillation plant in Laverstock Mill. Constructed from over 35 complex sections with a hand-applied finish by artist Michael Forrest representing the essence of Bombay Sapphire Gin. The surface provides the perfect bar top to prepare drinks, durable, low maintenance cleaning and a closed surface for outstanding hygiene.
White City House
A.J Wells designed and manufactured bespoke enameled wall hung vanity units for the bathrooms of Soho House’s White City House. Luxurious vitreous enamel framed in nickel-plated brass was a perfect fit for its stunning surroundings.
Co-op ‘On the Go’
A.J Wells & Sons Limited supplied our TFL corporate signage throughout the new Co-op “On the Go” store at Baker Street Underground Station.
Hide Restaurant
Hide is a new restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbous and Hedonism Wines sprawling over three floors where a spectacular wooden staircase connects each area. Under the direction of These White Walls Studio we were tasked to manufacture the buff crackle glaze panelling featured in the restrooms. A combination of vitreous enamel, trimmed in aged brass and polished walnut created a subtle but stunning finish. Colour matching for the client was a vital part of the specification process, using Vlaze gave them a waterproof surface that they were able to match to the existing palate.
Camden Town Brewery

We were approached by Camden Town Brewery to provide a glorious curvaceous vitreous enamel countertop and spectacular bar back for their new Camden Beer Hall. The countertop is comprised of 1.6mm steel panels with rolled 50mm detailing, while the back bar is again made from 1.6mm stainless steel panels and finished with a luxurious vitreous enamel glaze. In addition, large printed text-decoration was requested as well as cut-outs to receive fixtures and fittings for an incredible 24 beer taps!
