Stainless Steel Fabrication of ITV Logo for MAMIMU

We were delighted to supply this stunning ITV logo for artist and graphic designer June Mineyama-Smithson. Perhaps better known by her artist name MAMIMU, she reached out to AJ Wells to help her realise a challenging project that involved high precision stainless steel fabrication.

Project Overview

Working in collaboration with Neuroscientist, Dr Tara Swart, they were commissioned by ITV to create work to mark Mental Health Awareness Week. The objective was to create a piece of art that brought happiness and optimism to people through the TV screen.

One look at the finished work and it’s evident the pair were successful in their mission. Seeing the gleaming ITV logo, interacting with the 3 different visual scenes in which it is situated, quickly brings smiles to faces.

MAMIMU is passionate about bold colour and shapes. Our experienced in-house design team worked with her to deliver artwork to exacting specifications. Stainless steel fabrication of such a complicated shape requires state-of-the-art laser profiling and a high precision metal workshop.
